TL;DR While this doesn't violate any of Tumblr's terms and conditions (yet), it's advised you only use this if you really need to know who an anon is - preferably one sending hate, they deserve to be exposed. All this hack does is trick the sender into thinking they're anonymously sending a message by overlaying two ask boxes.
Why does Know Anon cost money?
There are costs surrounding the maintenance of Know Anon, mainly hosting of the files and feeding the creator - he's a student.
How long does the free trial last?
The trial lasts 24 hours, within those 24 hours you will have an unlimited preview of the full (paid) version.
What happens when the 24 hours are up?
Know Anon will cease to work, there will be a link to upgrade on your theme's customize page.
Are there any signs that potential anonymous haters may see?
Untitled Themes is constantly working on new ways to make Know Anon less obvious. At the moment it is virtually unnoticeable if configured correctly.
Can someone bypass Know Anon and send anonymous messages regardless?
Unfortunately it is possible. If someone knows how to avoid Know Anon, you have an ask box without the ID 'ask_form', the asker is using a mobile phone or the asker is not logged into Tumblr - Know Anon will fail.
How can I tell if the questions asked were intended to be anonymous?
Unfortunately you can't, at this point in time there is no way of simply telling who intended to click 'Ask anonymously'. The best practice is to only turn Know Anon on after you have recieved an anonymous message and tempt them to send another message. If you get them to send you another message, you will be able to catch them out.
How many blogs may I use Know Anon on?
5 blogs per code, if you exceed 5 blogs you will need to re-purchase Know Anon.
If I change my URL will Know Anon be affected or will it count towards the 5 blog limit?
Changing your URL will not affect Know Anon in any way, it will not count towards the limit either.
